Why does this musician/entertainer's website seem to partly be a business website?
Any serious musician/entertainer is a businessperson: They want to make a living selling their products; so they are a business.
It's a heck of a lot easier to set up a business online at first, even if it becomes a more physical than online business eventually. That applies to musicians/entertainers too - So as a musician/entertainer it's good to have an online business - even if it's only a part of the whole business setup - based around a blog / website.

Why does this musician/entertainer's website seem to partly be a technology website?
Any serious musician/entertainer needs technical assistance or likes to add to their technical know-how: They want to make a living with what they earn; not spend it all on paid professional technical help. The more technical stuff a musician/entertainer knows the better it will be for them.

Hello and welcome to the Start page of Sharron-Idol’s mobile-friendly website here at buggerallon dot tv.
— INTRODUCTION / PREFACE —
Are you prepared for the coming journey? ‘Not just a journey into sound; ‘more like a journey into sound value.
You’re going to experience something unique: Music that sounds different in some way, lyrics that in some cases flow like a lazily meandering stream – while at other times they dash like a babbling brook. + Subtle harmonies that accentuate a good beat, and maybe you might also encounter emotions that you didn’t expect.
Someone said that this site has been designed from my own head. – They said I was a geek and I was living inside my own head. I am a geek; that’s as good as obvious, but I’ve no experience of living inside anybody else’s head, therefore I can’t really comment further in that regard.
Artist or a tech-geek?
…So am I an artist or a tech-geek? I’m actually both: And being both is a part of what differentiates me from most other artists. It makes me unique as an individual in a profession where there are millions of ‘clones’ in the industry, all striving for recognition.
They all sing and perform; some better than others, they all want to be heard; some more than others. – When I say ‘they’ I should be saying ‘we’; I’m an entertainer too, and, to a degree, I’m in a similar situation to many other such entertainers.
I’m looking for something new: I’m looking for a new way of doing things that brings better results”
We all offer you music, and a few of us sell tutorials on how to market our music to others, so that those who aren’t yet doing so can catch up with and do exactly the same as those who are marketing their music to the greatest extent possible within the much-taught-and-accepted style of marketing. – Each band or solo-act working themselves around the clock; all doing much the same thing in much the same way and getting much the same result; as in barely making a living.
I’m looking for something new: I’m looking for a new way of doing things that brings better results; both in terms of my output, and also in terms of the way I go about everything: From creating, songwriting, artistry – through to marketing, going public, and finishing up with entertaining people with my products.
In the early part of the 21st Century, a female technology geek dabbled a bit in the music scene, and tried her hand, rather successfully, at DJ-ing on internet radio under the name of DJ Shazzalive.
In the video below; DJ Daniel Woodward mentions his long association with Sharron-Idol (Formerly DJ Shazzalive.) in this capacity, while producing Swindon Drive – live from his Swindon (Wiltshire UK) studio, on 26th April 2017.
Sharron-Idol’s musical career began at that point, inspired, to some extent, by the anticipated and impending career-startup of the awesomely-talented Becky Hill.
Operating from the South of the UK, up and coming singer/songwriter/producer Sharron-Idol is taking the music scene by storm with her relentless passion for songwriting, as well as possessing a natural musical talent to match.
Sharron has a lyrical writing style which is very much her own, and she is writing songs and laying down tracks on an ongoing basis, at a rate that is impressive for a relative newcomer to the music scene. – Over 112 tracks across 26 official releases to date.
Sharron’s debut single * On With The Show – The Single *was released in March 2013 with popular approval from her growing gathering of fans and industry professionals. Her debut full-length album “On With The Show: The Album * was released later that year following the release of a few more singles, such as Deejay (Remix), Hometown, and Why Don’t You..? The album delivered an original sounding cross-genre’ experience, with upbeat urban pop vibes, a hint of punk, post-garage, and more. It comprised 12 tracks which were written/composed and performed by Sharron-Idol herself.
Subsequent to the above, in May 2015, she produced a remix in association with Australian artist Aria Taylor of Aria’s track * The Winning Hand *
Later that year, in July, she also produced her EP * Afterglare *.
Idol then embarked upon a voyage of self-discovery and gaining maturity as an artist, creating songs and tunes as she did so. She also worked upon her promotional platforms, which included the abandonment of her old site and the creation of this new site, with its increased functionality and web-2.0/2.1-ability.
Sharron’s EP * Something New * was released in May 2016; inviting us to musically collaborate with one another and accomplish more as a result.
Even more recently she released her latest EP containing her new track * Brexit *, plus a re-release of her tracks * Old Star * and * Old Star (Calitopia Mix) *. She also created a track entitled * The SiteGround Rap *; a beat created for commercial demonstration purposes. – Although this track was never actually used for its intended purpose at time of writing, it was nevertheless released on a limited single release via CD Baby only.
In the Spring & Summer of 2018, and onwards into 2019, 2020.., Sharron-Idol is continuing to develop her unique musical style in order to showcase her outstanding natural talent even further – on her own, as well as maybe in collaboration with new and established artists.
In a nutshell; Sharron-Idol welcomes you to the continuing saga of her mission to entertain; and she asks you to join her on her journey.
“I’m loving every minute of it. Keep it up❣ You’re Fabulous ~ I love you. You have a life long fan !”
I have the web-technology.
I have the artistic ability.
*I present to you this growing Idol database.
…Welcome to the site that the online-business-community frown on for its reticence to extract the total contents of your purse or wallet, and which sets their head spinning with its lashings of musical & artistic sophistication in the face of cold, hard, sterile commerce.
…And I’m told:
“That doesn’t look like a commercial website.”
“It’s a bit cluttered.”
“I wouldn’t arrange it like that…”
– To which I say: “Great!“
– I’m not saying everything is not without a price here: Less costly and better presented with a generous slant towards value may be a more apt description.
In fact let me say, at this point, if you’re incapable of appreciating art; please leave now. – You won’t appreciate this site at all if you’re totally un-artistic.
*On a similar theme: –
“Never waste your time trying to make everybody happy. Some people are so busy making themselves unhappy that it is a waste of your time to try to fight them on it.“
– David Risley (Advanced Online-Marketing Strategies Coach)
*On that note, here’s another gem from Risley. – This is as much a reminder to me as to anyone else: –
“Product/market fit means that you have to fit the market… not make the market fit you.“
– David Risley (Advanced Online-Marketing Strategies Coach)
* At the beginning of your career, and even for quite a while afterward in many cases, the biggest constraint on your growth in popularity is the size of your audience. If you were to only promote your new releases to people already connected with you, you’re not really expanding the size of the pie. Therefore it is at this point that you should be spending a minority of your time on content, and the remainder of it on promotion.
Right now; let’s start to orientate you with this site, so that you can get the best out of your visit: –
logically: This page says a little about the website, and also gives an insight into Sharron-Idol, herself, and her ideas for this site. It also gives you a chance to join up to Sharron’s emailing list; so that she can stay in touch and give you a few bonuses as a list member.
The About page tells you a lot more about the site,
as well as some more about Sharron-Idol. In fact the About page tells you a lot, so I see no reason to repeat it all on this page.
When posts are written they are tagged with subjects of interest covered within their content. This is primarily done for the benefit of search-engines; but by collating the tags into a list, this site is able to present you with a topic-index for subjects covered within posts. By then cross-referencing those tags with your selected subject which you select from the list, you get presented with the linked headers of the relevant posts containing those tags.
The blog page lists blog posts; but not just as a list of titles, nor as a sequential full-listing: Instead it lists the clickable headers of blog posts plus an excerpt of the relevant post in a 5-to-a-page listing. – Keeping it neat & tidy is the name of the game here.
Do see the About page – at some point in your journey around this site – for a little more detail.
*Are YOU prepared for the coming journey?
‘Not just a journey into sound; ‘more like a journey into sound value.
This site is designed with the ongoing intention of bringing you some great entertainment, as well as, in time, bringing some amazing deals on great products – such as merch and other Sharron-Idol-related products – to your attention.
I’ve added, and will go on adding over time, quite a lot of core content to the site, as well as publishing a few posts prior to the official launch.
I’m eventually hoping to build up a large collection of articles and editorials related to my musical career. Also I’m hoping to be featuring some other music, and topics relating to the music industry; including pieces about maybe a few other artists from time to time.
This new, mobile-friendly, website is a website dealing with Sharron-Idol’s career from 2015/2016 onwards. Sharron-Idol sells herself as “The Geeky Artist”. As well as being an upcoming musical artist she’s also a qualified electronics technician – which is in itself an art in a way.
Faced with a career choice between a career as an artist or in the technology-sector as a teenager, Sharron initially took the tech route – but she always seemed to be constantly called by music throughout that career; and finally she heeded the calling.
Sharron-Idol markets herself as a tech-geeky musician;
in a way a little similarly to will.i.am; except for will.i.am being of black ethnic origin, male in gender, and American in Nationality.
. . . “Sharron-Idol initially took the tech route – but she always seemed to be constantly called by music throughout that career; and finally she heeded the calling.”
Now Sharron-Idol is catching up on those lost years, despite now being middle-aged.
You won’t be disappointed that you arrived at this site: There are rich pickings as well as awesome sounds to be purchased, or at least sampled. As time goes by this can only get better and better as Sharron’s career takes shape and she grows and matures as an artist.
Sharron herself says: –
“We’re all made of stars. Every one of us is a star in our own right: We just need a place to individually shine.”
Sharron-Idol is more than just the stage-name of some upcoming artistic hopeful though: Sharron-Idol is in itself a brand-name; the label on the Ice Showbiz umbrella which covers departments such as:
Positive Self Images; the graphics and advertising arm of Ice Showbiz.
Jank Kenner Films; Ice Showbiz’ video creation department.
Cup of Coffee Media. – The part of Ice Showbiz that creates this blog and more.
– But let’s not get bogged down in minutiae here; rather let’s just say, in short, that by using her Ice Showbiz entertainment-platform; Sharron-Idol is doing her utmost as an indie artist to bring you a full all-round entertainment experience – And this website is basically the hub of it all in cyberspace.
Ladies & gentlemen:
I bid you welcome to the Idol enterprise.
This website brings together all of Sharron-Idol’s exploits in entertainment on websites such as iTunes and CD Baby, as well as her activities on social media and the like.
Check out the ABOUT page to gain further orientation with this site.
. . . . . . . . .
Sharron-Idol wants to take you on a journey into sound: – but not just audible-sound, – We’re talking, here, about sound value.
Now I’m pretty sure that you’re going to want to come back here some time if you want to see more that this site has to offer. But even if you bookmark the site it could well escape your attention. Call me silly if you like; but I’d really like to see you back here at some point and hope you’ll be getting some useful hints and tips from what could eventually turn out to be a rather large resource.
So I’m thinking it would be a great idea to get onto this site’s mailing list so that we can stay in touch. – ‘Sounds good to me: Are you liking the idea too? You’ll notice various opt-in forms in various places on this site so no doubt you’ll eventually become a part of the list; but what if I were to take the liberty of being totally “in your face” and thrusting the question at you right now? – Would you do me the honour of opting in to my list? – Let’s find out shall we?
The above is a link to a form for the joining of the mailing list. There’s of course no obligation whatsoever, but I’d be so happy if you’d add your email – or an email where I can contact you – to my list. It’ll benefit you too, because we can stay in touch: I send out flyers and broadcasts now and again, news of releases and special offers too – so that my list people get first refusal. It’s all useful, and usefulness has its uses. Of course there’s a little something for free as a bribe to sign up; because I’m generous, and I also like to be in touch with my readers – I almost said “clientele” there. 0_0 – lol. I guess you could consider yourself part of my clientele if you so desire – I’m only an indie artist though; so don’t expect the world from me; just the best I can do.
If you like my spiel, or my music, or both - even my geekiness; then I'd like you to come back some time. - In fact I'd like to stay in touch with you, and have you come back here to this site sometime.
The only way I can think of to achieve this is to ask you to leave me an email address on which I can contact you... So I'll tell you what I'll do: I'll give you almost 30 minutes of my self-composed mix in exchange for your email address. - 'Good deal yeah? - 'Great, we're singing from the same lyric-sheet here, as it were.
When you enter your email address below and click "Get It Now", you'll be taken to my "Thank You" page, where you can download your music, and click on links to more of my stuff if you're interested too.
Since I will then have your email address I'll send you email from time to time; like when I have something interesting to say, or when I release something, or even when I think there's something I've found that you'd be interested in.
You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time if you get fed up with getting them, and I won't complain about it. - And you won't hear from me again; unless you re-subscribe.
'Sound good to you? OK let's do this: 'See the inset below? Follow the instructions - it's really easy - and we're away. 'See you there.
*Opt-in for Sharron-Idol's emailing list - stay connected with this great new site...
