Don’t think that this title implies that I’m trying to get you to part with any money: I’m not. This article is actually all centred around you getting something without cost; but I titled it as I did because your acquisition of a half-hour of instrumental mix at no cost to yourself does have a purpose, and isn’t entirely pointless as in it being a gift which you just take and then forget all about me… Which would most likely be the case if – as some musicians do – I gave all my music away for free in the hope that one day a bored rich agent would listen to it and exclaim:
“This sound is fabulous. – I’m signing the artist straight away!”
Things like that very rarely, if ever, happen in real life; and I don’t intend to wait around just in case the million-to-=one chance of it happening to me does actually happen. I’d do a lot better if I were to wait for a big lottery win; not that I’m expecting that either. – Although stranger things have happened I guess.
“My music … is worth more than just throwing out into the noise of civilisation in the hope that it might get noticed“
My music – to me – is worth more than just throwing out into the noise of civilisation in the hope that it might get noticed – even played. – And that’s why, although I create a few freebies from time to time, I generally put my work up for sale on iTunes and CD Baby and other sites. I even made my last release ( Afterglare ) available on CD.
And yes it’s been a while since I last released anything; but the thing is that I could release a million tracks; all of which will go completely unnoticed without any promotion, without any advertising. – And I’m now promoting and advertising. – But I’m also giving something away at no cost.
Like I said; it’s NOT for a few dollars more…
“So let’s get straight on to what I’ve got for you to listen to [at no monetary cost]”
So let’s get straight on to what I’ve got for you to listen to. In fact it’s yours to own, and it won’t cost you a dime, a penny, a Reubel, or even a Euro. Yes it’s instrumental: My voice is extra lol; but all it costs you is an email address; which I need so that I can keep in touch with you – to let you know what I’m creating, releasing, doing for your musical benefit, + what’s the latest on the website, and maybe even advance-previews of my work.
What happens is this: You add your email address in the relevant place below, and you get taken to a place with a link from where you can download your free mix. You also get added to my emailing list and you’ll be hearing from me in time. If you get fed up with hearing from me you can cancel your subscription to my list at any time I won’t complain or give you a hard time: You’ll be Idol-free from that point onward.
Does that sound good? – Let’s get straight to it then. The business is awaiting the doing of below. I hope to be in touch with you in due course.
